Seattle Kizomba Semba Camp has just been featured in the Essentials section of Seattle Magazine's March edition. 

Essentials is a section in the magazine that highlights things to do a try in Seattle and this camp is one of them. 

There's only 4 more days left in February and then we'll be into March where there's lots going on for Kizomba in the Northwest. Check out the latest in Kizomba Seattle.

UPDATES ON SCHEDULE:
On Sunday March 24th we're making a few changes post workshop to help you ease back into the "real" world. If you're from out of town, I hope you plan to stay through Sunday to enjoy our wrap-up of the weekend (check out the Schedule section of this website for more details). 

RELAX: After the workshops, you will be able to relax in a jacuzzi and pool located at the Centennial Tower in Belltown. It will be available from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. From there you can head out to your final stop.

POT LUCK and DANCE: At 9:00pm Studio J will be hosting a pot luck and dance for everyone to enjoy. You'll be able to mix and mingle with everyone else that attended camp, the instructors and other members of Seattle's kizomba community. There's no better way I know to end a weekend: eat, make merry and dance through the night.

Well folks, we have 50 days till the Seattle Kizomba Semba Camp in March... can you believe it?

I'm so excited to share this weekend with everyone, especially with all the folks that have been on this journey with me from the very beginning. As I'm getting ready for another big weekend with Ivo and Shani (Details here), I'm already thinking about how to help everyone understand what a difference this weekend can make in your dancing.

There's been one question that's been asked of me several times so I'll start this blog with an answer for that.  I'll be compiling an FAQ section in the next few weeks. In the meantime, here's some food for thought. 

Is this weekend just like another congress?

NO - its not. 

First of all, this is not a weekend for hundreds of people. This is a weekend for a group of people that would like to invest in their love of kizomba, meet other like-minded dancers  and learn from some of the best in the business about kizomba foundations, musicality and the different aspects of the dance. There are no performances or shows: just dancing, instruction and some time to check out Seattle with new friends or on your own,

Second, you will be able to get more targeted instruction over the course of the weekend. Each of the two different tracks will bring together dancers with similar skill levels and goals, This will allow the instructors to collaborate over the course of the weekend to provide you with information and experience that can help you to take your dancing to the next level. Not only that, you will be with the same group of people in your tracks so you'll get a chance to know your fellow campers as you learn and discover things together. The whole weekend provides you 10 hours of instruction and at least 12 hours of dancing across three days and nights. Instruction will not be disjoint. There will be continuity in the content and material because the instructors will be working together to provide you with what you need to improve and grow even after the weekend is over.
